Hi, I’m Matt.
I love to meet new people and dive in and out of different areas of creativity. Aside from my family, my two greatest loves are travel and photography. As a pilot for Raven Flight Media, I get to do both of those things which makes this an absolute dream job!
Our story
I started Raven Flight Media after falling in love with photography, drones, and Iceland.
After a trip to Iceland where I met a drone pilot who was capturing the breathtaking scenes of Katla Glacier, I came back home dead-set on getting into drones myself. It wasn’t long after returning from my trip before I bought my first drone and began experimenting. Nearly a year later, I now have two drones, and a Part 107 Certification through the FAA which is also known as a Remote Pilot License. The FAA requires all drone operators doing business commercially to pass this certification exam, and let me tell you, I studied my butt off for that thing, and it was STILL a doozy! That said, the kind lady at the Joplin Regional Airport said I had one of the highest scores she’d seen on the test, so rest assured–I GOT YOU!
After spending this past year honing my skills, and becoming comfortable with the limits of my equipment, I am finally ready to open up shop. I’m excited to see what the next year brings my way, and I hope its an opportunity to work with YOU.
